is changing the timming belt super hard? im ok doing mechanical work ive changed the rear axle myself and iv done a few other things like fitted new brake calipers allround, gear linkage, ball joints ect.. so wanted to know if its worth trying it myself???

Get a haynes and see if you feel competent enough to give it a try. I leave mine to the garage coz it would probably slip if i tried it and knack the valves but only you know if you feel comfortable doing it.

On an 8 valve it's quite easy. The Haynes book is quite good.
