Seery_VTS 3rd June 2007 12:37

vts no doubt. Times are faster all round.

vipergfx 3rd June 2007 13:38

yep, vts. much lighter, and quicker

simongvts 3rd June 2007 15:43

vts all the way matey

saxochap 3rd June 2007 15:53

vts hands down

Toby-VTR 3rd June 2007 16:11

suzuki swift, 1.6 VVT Sport 3d, 1586 / 4, 123bhp, 124 mph top end, 0-60 8.6s

vs

1.6i 16V VTS 3d (>99), 1587 / 4, 120bhp, 127 mph top end, 0-60 7.6s

technically VTS should be quicker!

S34MER 3rd June 2007 16:12

firstly, there is no such thing as a Swift GTI its a 'Swift Sport' (we sell them at work ;)) the swift sport is a 1.6 16v vvti engine producing 125bhp and a 0-60 time of 8.9 secs. and considering the Swift weighs a shit load more and has 17" rims, i'd say its n easy victory for the S!

DavidKent 3rd June 2007 19:34

Also very dependant on the driver, a crap driver in the 'S' Could easily lose...
I'm sure you're not a crap driver, so you should win hands down! lol

CHRIS1-VTS 4th June 2007 17:18

Is It An Old Skool Swift Gti? Around 1990's A Little 1.3 16v 100bhp Nippy But Still About 8.3 secs
The Vts Should Beat It!

Borat 4th June 2007 17:23

There is such thing as a swift gti mate there made on f-k reg a mate had one remapped with a cat back and k&n and made 130bhp. They are up on standard figures anyway and weigh less than a vts.

Could be a challenge!

MiniGibbo 4th June 2007 17:55

the old gti's i very much doubt are stil runinng 8's after all these years. i bet theyve lost more of there horses over the years sadly :( lil ricer rockets in there day :D

Borat 4th June 2007 18:07

Ones that still exist are likely to have been looked after- mileage and services being key to performance! I doubt some vts are running 7.6 still. A poor filter and plenty of heat soak would scrub a bit of time off!

Does being fat make you a crap driver cause theoretically yo fat ass is slowing things down!?

Karl 4th June 2007 18:47

im afraid VTS wins.

gibs-rallye 4th June 2007 18:53

old one god knows.

new swift my rallye with the vts engine tanned the arse of one. off the mark though didnt get up to dangerous speeds

Grand_Champ 4th June 2007 20:11

Suzuki swifts are quite swift but the vts would win. It had to be said. Even though the car in question is the old skool gti version i have raced the new sport one and the VTS is faster no question.

danboy 6th June 2007 15:06

ive drove a swift gti at 140mph it seemed like it still wanted to go.
