first of all sell the stupid 6x9s rectangle things

sound deaden the boot

invest in a better amp

invest in another amp and some components

and finally some decent wiring

whats the RMS of he sub and the amp??

VTR-Chris-VTR 29th June 2007 00:09

RMS of each sub is 500w i think......not sure about the amp as i brought it 2nd hand but its a decent amp

Yeh as for them 6x9's wat a waste of £100 they dont sound no better then cheapy £30 imo

how do you sound deaden the boot?

Predator_R32 29th June 2007 00:20

sound deaded the boot is easy just take ot te boot carpet peel off the backing and work it inot the nooks and crannies

the amp isnt a decent one mate but will do the job for now i suppose, make sure its all set up right if its not sounding good, play with the settings on the headunit and amp, may just be down to the filter if its not sounding good

VTR-Chris-VTR 29th June 2007 23:28

Well i might invest in a new amp? any recommendations? as for sub setins i have the filter on LPF......the LPF settin right down (so bass is low) leval half way and bass boost half way.......no seperate sub settin on sterio (ols sony black magic got it for £20 lol) but will get new one soon

Predator_R32 29th June 2007 23:33

alpine and pioneer are good for the set up options etc

th i dont like them subs and boxes at all, all depends on how much money your wanting to spend

have you got components amped up front??

VTR-Chris-VTR 30th June 2007 13:18

Nope ive just got JBL door speakers at front no amps fitted to them.....tbh i wud like tp amp them and the 6x9's but ive tried connectin 6x9's to amp it worked fine intill engine was started.....i got a wierd high pitch noise that gets more high pitched wen u rev the engine

as for subs i paid £250 for them and there ok i suppose i just needed some new ones to upgrade from just 1 kenwood tornado

think i might upgrade to VIBE Space 8's

Surely all thats just weighing you down? Why buy a vtr if you gonna fill it full of sacks of potatoes so it performs like a 1.1?

I've just gone for headunit, door speakers, tweeters and 6x9s and it sounds great! Maybe get a sub and amp soon but nothing that will fill my whole boot like that 1.

Sorry mate I just don't understand it?
