Whats the Big Chill? Or am i asking a stupidly obvious question?

But that is one long time to not have a break - isnt that illegal? Or is doing security work any different?

xsmile_be_happyx 5th August 2007 09:21

security work is kinda different can only give you a break when theirs a spare minute, like at footie i dont get a break till the turnstills close, cause then we have 14 extra staff

I seriously doubt any reputable employer would expect a someone to do a 36 hour shift. If this is happening though, I would expect the HSE to be all over the employer and serve an immediate cease and desist order.

HSE can be contacted on 0845 300 99 23.

Volunteering to work for 36 hours straight does not remove the onus on the employer to abide by the regulations.

V.

ps, I might even be tempted to call them myself.

Danhunt 5th August 2007 19:51
