possibly selling the VTS ... help please

well.. im gonna be racking up a fair few miles in the next few months due to work.. so was thinking as my car has done 88K and is R reg ... i might get rid of it n get a diesel...
thinking of gettin an a4 130bhp TDI ... but anyway .. what do people think it is worth ?

1997 Saxo VTS , red, 88K miles, will have full tax and MOT, has a De-cat pipe, black VTS wheels in mint condition with 195/45 R15 TOYO T1-R tyres that are brand new, original grill and a new grill with black mesh, and the mk1 spoiler that may or may not be fitted, just had a gearbox in it as well.

i'd say about £1800-£2000 max!

jennifer1987 20th August 2007 08:05

i agree don't go any higher than that, but don't forget everyone will always try and get money off it

Row_Row 20th August 2007 12:50

Karl 20th August 2007 12:57

would only want 2,8k for my 51 plate with 59k.
had a recent clutch too.
FCSH too.

where were you when i was buyin my car lol

Matt_e 20th August 2007 13:11

i think £1500

Karl 20th August 2007 13:11

yeah 1500 - 1600 seems a better price.

jeeves_101 20th August 2007 13:31

yeah, 1500-1600 is a good price that you'd PAY for it, if he advertises it for that it will get knocked lower, so putting it up for £2000, means he get that, maybe more after the bartering has finished.

VTS_16v_Boy 20th August 2007 13:45

Give it a good wash and maybe a light wax then get some classy pic's taken not just outside a house or on a drive but maybe in a multi story car park or maybe a park car park and get them up in the 4sale section along with detailed information about the car ie

Service history
Number of owners
Mods - Brand and how long on the car
MoT and Tax

That way you might get more interest, also put a for sale sign along with all of the above information in the rear quater windows this might help generate abit more interest in the car.

As for an Coal Burner, TDI's pull well and will have longer legs than on the Saxo but dont expect much to handle like a saxo on good tyres and suspension

Row_Row 20th August 2007 14:34

yer i aint gonna be chucking an a4 into corners quite as much lol.. this is more practicality from here ... cheap running... i have had an offer of £1500.. i woulndt be unhappy with that but i would put the original wheels back on for that !!! i gotta get a loan first anyway :P

Row_Row 23rd August 2007 23:37
