Monday 15th October

Started to paint the bottom end today and a few other bits and pieces ready to put them back on.

Pleased with how the bottom end looks, only done 1 coat to 1 side so far (will probably do 3 just to be sure its fully covered)



So far though the sump looks piss poor. No matter how much ive cleaned it with gunk remover etc etc when applying the Hammerite it still seems to have had a bubbly reaction to the first coat, which looks crap (see below pic)

After whacking on a 2nd coat though it seemed to cover fine with no oily marks so im thinking that the first coats absorbed any remaining oil. Ill rub it back a bit tomorrow morning so a smoother surface and give it a couple of coats- should look spot on then all being well
