With the DVLA i have to send off my registration documents with section 5 completed, which includes new engine number, engine capacity and date changed.

Im changing my insurance anyway away from Direct Line with the vision of starting with one thats more performance based and mod friendly. Im yet to decide on one yet but ive had quotes in the region of just above £500 which suits me fine.

Tax does unfortunately go up aswel, i think the DVLA will make this alteration for me when theyve received my reg documents.

I also believe that DVLA might summon the car for an inspection to ensure that its running fine and safely and that ive given them the correct engine number.

Fair bit involved when doing it legitimately which we very rarely ever see or hear about from other people doing conversions....makes you wonder how many have made the declarations of change
