A little update as an addition to that already mentioned.

Yep the head gasket is knackered, but even if it was a 'discontinued' or non recommended type from citroen i would still only expect a weap from that corner with it being a new gasket rather than a 'piss' tbh.

They say that as its the gasket that is at fault they are not liable to sort the problem out.

The Pug/Cit specialist which i normally use are fully booked up until 17th March, but they have recommended another place which does work for them which could book it in sooner and would cost just under £200 approx to supply the new gasket and get everything fitted back together.

There could still be a chance that the gasket was damaged whilst fitting or indeed was just one of those unlucky ones which was faulty upon being packaged and supplied within the head gasket kit.

So..

The pug/cit specialist (i know them quite well and would trust them with anything with my car) have said they strongly suggest that if this other place does the gasket change for me then i ask them to keep the old gasket in the exact condition that it comes off the car and take it to them after to check and see if it is a manufacturers fault or a fitting fault thats caused it.

Then i could either:

Claim back again off the company that fitted the original gasket
or
Josh do you have a receipt or anything from the place you ordered the gasket kit from/do they offer any warranty if its a faulty gasket?

Either way this bloody conversion had better be worth the hassle when its finished
