Look towards the back of the engine bay (from underneath) where the gear linkage rod comes out from under the floor.
There's a tube welded to the end of the gear linkage rod.
Inside this tube should be what looks like a rubber ball bonded to the pivot arm which is secured to the bulkhead.
If it's missing then you'll need a replacement pivot arm and it's bracket.
I got mine from a scrappy for £3 - good news is Pug 106's use the same part.
