Update time...

New front pad's are here as the Mintex's from MSW were the wrong fitment,
turns out the Mintex's i had weren't available in VTS fitment and i was sent
8v ones

Anyways these pads will warm up quicker and last almost as long as the M1155's plus they are road legal so all good

Frodo Baggins DS2500's...

Started to get pissed off after the Piper was fitted because the centre pipe and mounts had been adjusted to make the backbox sit rigid and perfectly within the new bumper.

This caused the pip to sit close to the heatshields and sometimes caused a rattle/horrible vibration sort've noise when cruising along which was gash and annoying so guess what. It got stripped haha...

6 bolts (2 of which snapped clean off from the underside mount! 10 years wear aint bad i guess tho lol)
Which french numpty ever thought a metal heat-shield would be best to reduce heat and not conduct it back up into the car lol!?

I then used some spare heat-wrap and wrapped the system de-cat back, securing both ends snugly with extra wrap and some proper metal cable ties.
Cheers for these Alex

The heat-wrap has smoked all the moisture out and hardened now.
After this happens it turns a glossy, gold colour which looks mint
and after driving back from North London on Sunday, compared to
being able to put my hand on the floor by the handbrake before and
it being quite hot i now cant feel much heat at all coming up through
the floor which shows the wrap is doing its job pretty well.
More pop's from the exhaust when you put your foot down as a cheeky plus

Throttle response from the exhaust system and breathing mods (and some strippage)
alone is awesome and the car pulls like a train even in 5th gear at low revs.
Well happy with peformance and tight handling due to the upper/lower front braces.

Need to clean up the underside, engine and fit a few things before FCS...

* Valeo Aluminium Radiator + new thermostat
System fully bled and topped up
* 2nd Fan with remote switch in-dash

Non-essential but i'll hopefully get round to fitting these two aswell...

* Mocal Oil cooler
* Mocal catch tank

Sticking with street tyres which are fitted atm (Klebers i think )
just to rag around Rockingham @ FCS and then
fit a new set of Toyo's for the Ring trip in July.

Cant be arsed to waste a fresh set of rubber when my current tyres have
loads left in them tbh.

Not going to go crazy anyways and aim to end up with 4 slicks after the
FCS track session so im not really bothered lol

Got a nice package today aswell which will be great for the upcoming events...

Can ya guess what it is yet?

Lazer LZ6 Katana helmet.
Will be much better than borrowing a grim, sweaty second-hand jobby this year

Adding the last bit of heat-wrap to the exhaust up to the backbox and
finishing off smaller bits like the underside, brakes and rad as above along with a new enclosed carbon-fibre induction kit and a few other things.

Car is already running really well but i'll do a full service and run some
fresh Silkolene oil so everything mint for the next few months of abuse lol

Bring on FCS and the Ring. Cant wait to get some more track time!!!
