They are paper thin though

DTM as in Sunstrip or whatever you want to call it btw, would block out the sun too whilst driving to an extent (thats why I fitted mine!)
think only time someone will brake a windscreen that has already got a chip or crack in it will be 160dB playing music

oh not really a fan on sun strips i normaly use my sunvisa to bloke out the sun just more hassle from the police and mot man
