Had a bad week Saxo-wise. Came out from work to find some bastard had keyed my bonnet.



Not only that when driving back the engine auto diagnosis light began flashing and was followed by a motorbike sounding noise coming from the exhaust. When I eventually stopped I found that the exhaust mount had rusted so much it had snapped, leaving the whole exhaust bouncing around. At the moment it's bodged in place with coat hanger wire. Is this a case of getting it welding it back together or should I get it fixed properly and buy a new one?







As if this wasn't enough my car has begun making a ridiculous banging and screeching noise when accelerating, particularly in third gear. I recorded the sounds on my camera and if you listen closely you can hear the thudding and screeching which sounds as though it's coming from under the floor. If anyone has any idea what this might be I would appreciate your help
