What you need for a heavy scracthed area is a cutting pad, polishing spot pad won't do anything if at all, menzerna spot pads are where it's at if you want to use a spot pad, i just use spot pads on smaller areas, use big pads for the main big areas, just prefer them, you defintely need to step up to a cutting pad on intensive polish if it at cutting it, what speeds you using the udm on by the way? is the pad rotating enough or how much pressure are you putting on the polisher?
