My vtr+s progress engine re-build
ive neva had time to start a progress thread but hear goes
i bought the car totaly standard with only 21,000 miles on the clock and this is what it look like
this lasted about 2 months and then i went shopping lol
spax suppension kit
raceland manifold
piper exhaust backbox
supersprint race tube
vts wheels sprayed black
bmc cda air filter
omp upper strut brace
bucket seats
and stripped the car out for the track look
i then got bored of the vtr engine so i decided to build a vts engine and do a conversion to a vts
so hear it bein
i payed £350 for a vts engine and wiring loom
i neva got any pic of what i bourght it like just when i started to strip it down
removed the cylinder head and cams to find they wernt it that bad of condition then i moved on to the bottom end
after it was all apart i send the hole bottom end of to get balance and the flywheel lightend aswell . when i got them back all the pistons and con-rods were all the same balance. the crank was stop on aswell the flywheel was mega light aswell.
went on citunning and order my competition bearing for the bottom end
after spend a lot of money on new parts i started to re-build the bottom end
Then i left the bottom end and moved on to the cylinder head
went for a red and black theam
painted the rocker covers
painted the cylinder head
painted the cam carriers black to separate the head up
Then bought some newman ph3 cams
re-assembled the head after it all being cleand and skimmed
Then went and put the head on the block and put all the other parts on the engine
nice red parts added to the block
