heat wrap holds the heat in the exhaust instead of getting the rest of the engine hotter. Get a carling can (or any can for that matter) and two jubilee clips for a short term fix
Also check in the for sale section for a manifold, if no joy post in the wanted section! im sure somebody has one knocking about.
