So... what is everyone doing "right now".. besides reading this post.. <img src= "smileys/smiley2.gif">

I'm drafting up some stock counting procedures, that were due in at the start of the month...

Post your crap below...

A24 Plant Stock Taking Procedures

Each week, at 6am on Sunday the stocks are counted for all A24 Plant raw materials, intermediates and finished products. Various systems are used to aid this process; these will be described below.

In addition, at 6am on the first day of each month, the stock taking procedure is repeated. This data is then used to adjust the physical stock inventories within the SAP system. Theoretical and actual variances are then investigated.

General…

On a daily basis, the IP21 system generates a report, which displays raw material consumption, amount of product made, stock dispatched, etc, etc… Each morning, select data from this report is exported into an Excel spreadsheet, named “A24 weekly and daily production tonnes”¯. (Storage location shown below.)

The spreadsheet is then used to display information regarding current production figures and raw material usage.

Raw Material Stocks…

As discussed above, daily raw material consumption is logged on the “A24 weekly and daily production tonnes”¯ spreadsheet. This document is also used to record and track the Aluminium Tri-hydrate stocks, both at the dock yard storage shed, and locally in the A24 plant ATH shed.

Each Monday morning, a stock report is emailed/faxed to the A24 plant. This details all ATH movements both in and out of the dock storage shed. The dock opening and closing stocks and weekly ATH deliveries to the A24 plant are recorded on the spreadsheet above. A snapshot of this spreadsheet can be seen below: -

A weigh ticket is also provided with each ATH delivery brought to the A24 plant. These tickets should be collected and the total delivery weight compared against that reported by the dock staff.

The majority of the data on this spreadsheet is extracted from the IP21 system, however if this system was unavailable the data could be collected from other sources. (Fisher DCS / Operator log sheets)

The stock levels of nitric acid and sodium silicate are found using the IP21 system, or via alternative methods as described above.
