1) It isn't Fibre Optic, it is Fibre optic under the roads but to your house it is a Coaxial cable.
2) Go over your "fair usage policy" once in a month then you should expect speeds or around 2-5mb during peak times.

1) mine is FO to my house, they put it in from the green box,
2) 50mb service isnt subject to fair usgage, so doesnt get capped
i can get 49.**mbps if wired to the router
, tho it sits at around 35-40 on average with wireless.
