we always use helix no problem, we have used stock size single plates to over 350bhp, and twin plates over 500bhp.
you hear horror stories with lots of products, but i have never experienced any first hand with helix, nor have any of my customers worldwide.
for your application a standard valeo or sachs (or any reputable OE replacement brand) will be fine.
a common modification for slight fast road use, is to use a stock clutch cover, but add a cerametallic sprung friction plate from helix. this retains stock pedal pressure, but gives the clutch a far greater friction coefficient and better consistancy up to higher heat ranges. they are more aggressive in their clutch take up, but you soon get used to them, cerametallic plates can also take a little bit of slip too.
we sell helix friction plates in 4 and 6 paddle, solid or sprung centre (sprung recommended for road use)
regards
colin.
