Maz, its been covered a million and one times on here about engine conversions. Get an engine from the same reg and its pretty much straight forward swap.
And yes you can use the quicksilver box, but i would recommend the 106gti one over it. As if i remember right, could be wrong but i doubt it as its impossible for me to ever be wrong, the 106 quicksilver has the same gearbox as the saxo furio which is quite long (similar to the vtr box), a gti box will be better for acceleration.

You'll definately need an unlocked 106gti ECU.

Depending on the year of the engine you may need wiring and sensors.

But like i said, have a search its been covered a billion times.
yeah i know that, just thought id direct this fella to their site. but lol at the reading skills! and i always thought smaller engine gearboxes were better for acceleration as they have shorter gear ratios dont they? swear ive seen ppl use 1.1 boxes on vtr's
