I have had a noise, which is gradually getting worse, from my front offside wheel. I have had the wheel bearing replaced which was a little bit of the problem, but the noise is just as bad.

The only way I can describe the noise is that when I brake it sounds like a broken washing machine and I can feel the noise with my foot on the brake pedal! Its awful, you can hear it from outside too.

I have noticed that one of the brake pads are loose in the caliper, so I am assuming that it is that moving about that it making the noise. However, my partner has changed the spring clip that holds the pad in and it has had no affect?

Im not sure whether the clip is the wrong way round, but we have tried a few ways, or whether I need to replace the whole caliper!

Please help, im desperate its awful!!!
