Default Metrot GTi, Cheap track fun

Well as I'm still waiting for my bits and pieces for the GTR, I decided to go in search of something cheap and fun and something to keep me and my mate occupied, so we managed to get our hands on a 1991 Metro GTI, nearly 191,000 on the clock, 1 owner from new and tons of bills, receipts, spare parts etc etc..

MOT'd until Sep12, Taxed July12!!

Engine and gearbox are as sweet as, clutch will need doing sooner rather than later, although it still has a bit of life left.

Plans are to fully strip her out, seats, harnesses, cage, the works.

Rust is inevitable on these cars, the only major bit is on the scuttle panel on the drivers side.

Usual rust around the arches and a few other places, it has had some work done in the past which has made things a little easier for us.

More than likely stick with the original colour when we respray it, on the hunt for some poly windows too.

We have so far managed to strip out most of the interior including the roof lining, all that's left are the front seats, door cards and front section of the carpet.

Over time we will be upgrading to proper seats harnesses etc.

Only have a few pictures so far, will be updating soon, and hopefully have some bits arrive for the Skyline so i can update that build too.

Regards David.
