Right, Im new here so be nice

Formally I had and still have a Mazda RX-8 which I was using on my 8 mile trip to work everyday but it turned out to be quite expensive to run as a daily!

So I was on the look out for a cheap little run about just to get me to work and back for peanuts.

Came across my friend who was selling his beaten up 2003 1.1 Desire for cheaps so I snapped that up

Here are some piccys of that gem!

And Towing it back as it needed a clutch!

So 1st thing was to sort the clutch out..

Up she goes

Old Clutch

I dont have a picture of the new one but im sure you all know what they look like!

anyways so I did a couple of bits to that.. mainly tidying up, the grille back on, removing the stupid hubcaps, de stickering as it OBVIOUSLY had NOT been round the nurburgring!

The seats that were standard in the car were fooked and were doing my back in so they got changed for a set of VTS seats which were a huge improvement to my comfort

Yeah I left the passenger seat at home as I couldnt fit it in the car

Then got bored and decided to remove the backbox and replace with a 'RIPSPEED' tip lolz and some spare pipe! Sounded like a PROPER saxo then

Then the brakes needed changing so I got a quote for new pads, then got offered VTR/S brakes for the same price... even tho they are a bit rusty

Before

After

Then the last thing I did to the sax was SLAM IT!!!!

Overkill?

Anyway so that was the life of the Desire!!!

I have since... as of yesterday, SWAPPED that beast of a machine for a 1998 MK1 VTS in green, Im not sure what the actual colour is called so if someone could help me out that would be great

I know I said I only wanted a car to get me from A to B cheaply but I think I have caught the Saxo bug.... My friend has a VTR and its pretty cool and very fun to drive, so i couldn't wait to get the VTS..

Quick snap of my mates one..

Ok so anyway...

Upon Collection...

The 1st thing I did was removed those homosexual M3 'style' yeah right! mirrors for a standard set that was kicking around..

so Before..

After..

There are a couple of little issues with it but thats what you expect from a car that age.

Let me know what you all think...

Thinking Anthracite for the wheels?..

Ollie

Oh sorry for the crappy quality! all taken on my phone.
