Default 2003 Icey Grey VTS - Supercharged donor car purchased!

Hi all,

I collected this lovely VTS last week, which belonged to Harry, and before that Jamie, this is my 5th Saxo in the space of ten years, I wasn't going to buy another Saxo, but fancied a wee toy, I did previously own an Icelandic Grey VTR owned from new up to 80k miles, and always had a soft spot for it, this came up for sale at the right price and appeared to be very cared for!

The current spec is as follows...

Engine
- 4-2-1 Raceland stainless steel manifold
- 2" Saxsport race exhaust
- Carbon BMC induction kit

Chassis
- Spax 40mm PSX suspension kit
- 266mm brake set up with Mintex discs and pads
- Exact braided lines
- AP racing 5.1 fluid
- Compbrake quick shift
- Powerflex exhaust mounts

Wheels and Tyres
- White Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 15" alloys
- Front Toyo T1R 195/50/r15
- Rear Yokohama Parada Spec 2 195/50/r15

Other
- Polished cam covers
- Custom coil pack cover badge
- Carbon door pillars
- Carbon wing mirror covers
- Carbon ECU cover
- Bee sting aerial

I have already a good few plans for the car, however Im on a budget, so this may change as time goes on,

First things first is to sort out the suspension, I want to start getting involved with track days again, so the suspension needs to be in tip top condition, the rear axle bearings have quite a bit of play in them, so that will need to be addressed asap! either by fitting a refurbed axle or replacing the bearings myself, I will also raise the ride height due to the poor condition of the roads close to where I live, so Faulkner 250mm/ 155lbs springs will replace the spax, along possibly with Bilstein B8's all round, I will also fit a lower front strut brace as this noticeably sharpened the front end on my previous Saxo's

Performance wise I want to do a supercharger conversion, but this of course comes down to up much I can pick parts up for, in meantime I may fit cams and remap the engine,

I detail cars professionally, so this will be kept spotlessly clean as usual, and a thorough machine polish is required very soon to remove all the various swirl marks and random scratches in the clearcoat

Here is a few pic's of car sitting outside its new home...

Amazing how much cars have grown in recent years!

And a couple a local spirited drive ( I have removed the wind deflectors as I wasn't keen on them)

and a few of two of my previous Saxo's...

This is eventually what YM03 will end up looking like

Charged VTR...
