look at ps2 that came out at like 300-400 or something then after a few months falls down to like 100-150.
same with most consoles prices if they came out at a more reasonable price that the majority of the public would buy them thus selling more consoles same with the games. at the prices its released at there's prob a lot people like myself who are in shit paid jobs have family's and cant afford the initial out lay of £500 for a console and £100 for two games. so yea I think Microsoft and sony kinda price themselves to high cos their greedy.

PS2 was £299 when brand spanking new. I remember it
and I still have mine and its receipt somewhere.
PS2 took a lot more than a few months to drop that much, more like 10-12 months.
