Default Saxo VTS Siezed Cams

Hi Folks

I'm beginning to not love my VTS anymore after it came to a grinding halt!!!

I have recently fitted new cambelt, tensioner and water pump, so when it stopped I reckoned I had goofed the belt tension of something and broken a belt.

Anyway after stripping the top end I found that the belt was fine, but the inlet cam had seized, which jumped the belt and of bent a few valves, lovely!!! NOT

On closer inspection I thought I had pushed the camshaft oil seals in too far back into the head, which looked like they were blocking an oilway at the front of the cam.

Ok, so I thought that was the problem, put it all back together with a spare head and carefully set the oils seals further forward.

2 mins running and it seized again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fcuk

I don't remember the oil light coming on when it first seized, but that said I was only going slow, and I know that sickening feeling/sound of a belt breakage and just pulled over.

So, can the oil pump chain snap? Do Oil pumps just stop working.

HELP.
