Default Spam Detection

All,

Just a quick update regarding forum spam... and the huge amount of kitchen spam, which has been hitting thousands of sites for the last 6 months or so.

Unfortunately the internet is suffering from masses of automated 'bot' spam, which is relatively simple to block.

But more and more, people are exploiting the services of cheap labour in Asia... most of which seems to be coming from Indonesia, where I am right now!!

To try and keep the forums free of spam, we have a number of different systems in use, but the human-spam is harder to beat.

To try to help, I have installed some additional auto-spam measures today. If these are not effective, there are other plans waiting... but lets take this one step at a time.

If you observe any problems with NORMAL posting, etc, please let me know in this thread, or the bugs forum...

Thanks,
Simo
