ICV can cause idle problems, worth investigation there.
In regards to tapping could be noisy injectors or the hydraulic lifters in the head to open the valves. They cant be adjusted manually unlike the 8v engines with their tappets so give it an oil change see if its clears as they could be drained after sitting so long unless they are totally gummed up and would require the cams out to remove them and a clean up of them (strip each one down to clean its bucket and piston out) or renew the lot.
A decent oil change and perhaps a lifter additive may be of benefit but the latter is a bit of a grey area whether they are just snaked oil or not, all the ones i've used didnt do anything as its just an oil thinner in a bottle really.
