Agree completely, very good bit of advice. See what you can get mapped relatively easily local to your self and start from there. Omex is extremity popular in the UK so normally you will have multiple local who will work on them. DTA are another very common one.

I have a very good tuner local who is happy to do just about anything with the stock ECU these days. In a way it makes it simple but if you ever require a remap later the option are limited.

There are more and more people who deal with mega squirt derived units but if you do go that way and are looking to pay to get the car mapped i would also look at a more reputable manufacturer like the Predictor units as glitchy cheap unit are common off ebay.
