Cheers guys. Yeah, I painted it in Wicked red aerosol from halfrauds (as cam says!)
I stripped it back to bare metal where the corrosion was bad and emery'd the rest of it.
Primed it with Zinc grey primer, also from halfrauds!
Two coats of the primer and then two coats of the 'Wicked' red. Nice thin coats.
Looks much nicer.
I'll be taking the cam cover off tomorrow or next week to adjust the tappets as I there was more movement in them than I would like to see. Its quiet running when hot, but when cold it is tappety so thats the next job on the list!
