did mine a few months back, with normal spray paint and it still looks good in my pinion, only pic i have of my engine bay, ill take another tomorrow to show the rocker in better light.
ps, the key is to sand it down as much as possible to get it as smooth as. it'll only look good if you put a lot of time and effort into the prep! trust me i found out on my previous rocker!
