Default Head-Unit Removal

Hi guys, got a question.
For Christmas i'm getting a new head-unit for my car as my current one looks a bit tacky and the volume knob has fallen off.

My question to you is, how the hell do i remove it?
The black fascia around the outside of it comes off nicely but no matter how hard I pull it, it doesn't seem to want to come out :/
My guess is that i need to find some keys to pull it out somehow?

Thanks in advance

Take the face off, the surround and then pop into your local Halfords and ask to borrow a set of Kenwood release keys. Pop these down the middle of each side of the unit and gently pull the stereo out.
