1600 max watts im guessing, quote in RMS
components are the best for you, all depends on how much you have to spend??

Def a set of components mate, I have Alpine Type R componenets and they sound really good. In comparison to other components, the type r's do give out a bit more bass without distorting.

I have had loads of mid out of the 13cm type r speakers but you do need to give them lots of power (100wrms the set i fitted got). and they dont go stright into a saxo or 106 as i was going to fit a set to my wifes old 106 but they would have needed pulling forward quite a bit and i could not be arsed to do it.

if thats the case.. then you may aswell bump your budget for comps up lol
saying things like that tend to ruin your bank account.. but obv its your choice
the JBL's in the link i posted are by no means bad. the best comps for under £50 by a long way..
dont mean to sound rude, but you dont sound like an audiophile, and therefore wouldnt notice the difference between the SPL's and the JBL's as much as someone who was more enthusiastic about audio would
plus, buying the SPL's, means youd have to spend around £100 on an amp
having said all that, i personally would rather have the SPL's. but then im more of an audio freak then you are and own a set of £250 components..
imo the set up in the link i suggested sounds best for your needs

you could always go for the Spl woofers for £39.99 (without the crosovers or tweeters) and add a nice amp for £63.49
i feel this would be ideal for dnb lots of bass + it would be much easier to fit as they are a streight fit (13cm's) no drilling or worrying about where to place the tweeters.
amp
woofer's
thats £105ish in total.
one thing tho i dont think anyone has brough up, you will need an amp wiring kit which will set you back £20
good luck and all the best.
