Question headunit wiring

i bought a new car the other day, and there was no headunit in there, so as i went to put in my headunit i noticed there was no block or adaptor w.e you wanna call it but there was a LOAD of loose wires, so i was just wondering how exactly do i wire it up?
i will try and get pics as soon as i can so you guys can understand me more

exactly what my problem is

maybe this will help

The standard wiring is usually something along the lines of

Grey Wires = Lives (one is permanent and one is switched)
Blue = Illumination
Black or Green/Yellow = Earth

The rest are speaker wires

The positive will just be a colour and the negative will be a colour with a black line down the wire

Aftermarket wiring is something like this

Red = Switched Live
Yellow = Permanent Live
Orange = Illumination
Black = Earth
Blue or Blue/White = Remote (for amps)

The rest are speaker wires

The positive will just be a colour and the negative will be a colour with a black line down the wire

If the headunit loses its settings then swap the yellow and red over

all this was posted from a post on the forum mate so credits to Predator_R32

i have the same prob but i think instead of soldering im going to snip then and connect the wires with connector blocks( terminal blocks)

Some of the wires are connected to terminal blocks, so what do I do with them?

well the wires that come from yoru car will have to connect to the wires on that block you get with the head unit

so basicaly what you need to do is work out which ones go where lol and thats what i have to do too

so from that guide above that was posted on here
the BLUE from the car = illumination so will have to connect to ORANGE on the block from the headunit

and the GREY wires from the car will have to go to the RED and YELLOW wires from the headunit and so on,,,,,,,,,,,,

thats from what that guide says i have to do this myself but looking for a decent headunit first because i dont have a headunit here to test mine yet

if this is wrong then someone feel free to say

Well i dunny know much about wiring but without any terminals its hard to decypher without having a universal table with wire colors and descriptions, i think its usually a yellow black and grey wires (3 seperate) you'd need to attach to a block for live, earth and negative.

In reference to the first picture, the big looking wire (black tip) is your radio, there looks to be either a componant or auxilary cable (black wire hanging near the thermo). i canny really make out what the others are, and if there leading to anything..
