Default Quorn

Yo bodybuilding faggots.

Anyone enjoy or use quorn as part of a nourishing, healthy replacement for meat?

My gf doesn't like meat much so I was forced pretty much to eat quorn, but found it's actually tasty. Just looking at the nutritional content and it looks pretty good in terms of high protein and low fat.

Thoughts?

i used it for about a year, and got decent gains from it, think there was 16 or 17 % protein, and less fat that chicken breast, it was the mince i used alot, as i live mine, lasagne and that, so this was handy, and cheaper than lean mince while i was a student. not been near it for a while mind you.

I'm one of the small % that gets ill from quorn. Plus it's soil mould and has a funny taste so I wasn't really a fan before. If it didnt turn me poorly I'd probably still eat it for the protein.

Some of its nice, some of its awful, the mince I quite like

My lass works at a private school and they use it a lot, if there's is lots of stuff left it gets offered to staff, often brings stuff home for me, quorn hotdogs the other week, the were funny lol, we're harder then a hotdog should be, but tasted like a matteson's smoked sausage

I like the mince, bought it by accident (I didn't know it was low meat) a while back as it was on offer, turns out it was well worth it!

its not a viable replacement for meat, as the amino acid profile of the proteins it contains are nowhere near as complete as the ones found in meat. You still need meat in your diet!

not sure about the nourishment side of things, but I quite like the quorn mince and chicken pieces. Actually prefer the Quorn chicken pieces over normal chicken when making a curry.

Quorn mince is really nice. Find the chicken pieces a little too "foamy" in texture for my liking though. Same with the hotdogs.
