Default Flashing Immobiler Light

Hello

The immobiliser light is flashing on my '03 VTR. I've only had the car a couple of days, but I first noticed it after I had the standard citroen cd player out to reset the code.

It's intermittant, so I don't know if this was just a coincidence.

The car starts fine every time, and it doesn't always flash (but once it starts flashing, it does it for the whole journey)

I've searched through old posts but I can only find this fault with people who's car won't start, and a lot of different solutions and advice.

If anyone could offer any advice or knows why it happens, I'd appreciate it.

Cheers
Simon.

Hondas used to do this if you started it to fast let the key get to lights on then after a second crank the car

Used to be ok on hondas like it is just reading chip in key
