I'm looking for another 1.1i engine to do a straight swap in my Saxo, can anyone give me an estimate price on a 1.1i engine and the fitting of it (includes taking the old engine out) how much am i looking at??

If you do it your self then probs under £200 but will depend on the engine breaker tho. Me and the missus dad did a 106 1.1i and we only paid for the engine. That said we didn't hire an engine hoist, we just welded a frame up and used a block and tackle to drop it out and then pulled the new one in after swapping the gearbox. Simples(if you don't include the other 10 hours disconnecting then re-connecting every thing)

i'd supply and fit a used 1.1 engine inc cambelt swap for 250 pounds, only other costs may be things like new clutch if needed

Honestly for a bit of fun get a suzuki gsx-r1000 engine and strip all the interior crap out. There cheap and easy to install.

Depends on the labour cost of the garage, luckily 1.1 engines are fairly easy to drop in and out.
Have you not got a mate who could do it for cheap?
