my new car vts tuning info
Hi people recently bought vts
And i just looking for help really i had mechanic at work check everything over mechanically and everything its sound (got car at cheap price really)
And the lad i bought it off didnt know it had stuff done to it really and i have found today that it has
285 piper cams
4-2-1 supersprint manifold
supersprint de-cat
magnex 3" backbox
k&n induction kit
lowered 80mm front and 80mm rear with uprated shocks and rear struts and axle
drilled and grooved mintex discs with pads
bosch uprated fuel pump
bosch super 4 plugs
but the mechanic asked me to enquire on here whether i should get it remapped if running cams as he isn't to sure on this and also i know i could get it on the rollers but anyone have a slight idea at what bhp i could be running at fly as dont have money yet to get on and just wanted rough ideas
see i dont know anythin bout saxos and i made this purchase as it was cheap and when i took it out i was amazed
let me know thanks ant
also if anyone has any ideas of other tuning. mods, bodywork i could do let me know also thanks

could you not ring the previous owner and ask him if he has had a remap with the cams?
the rolling road near me is £40 for a power run, i think VTS as standard are 120bhp but with the mods without a remap i think you will be looking at 130 ish but more with a remap
better waiting for someone like Kam_Racing or CampDavid to post

youll no if its mapped or not depending on how far you can rev the engine. around 7800 if it is.. youll be running around 135 or just over without map, around 155 with map. if its not mapped it will need one which will be a about 450 from chipwizards (place to go.) only other thing is change the KnN for an enclosed induction before mapping. further tining na will require throttle bodies and standolone management but this prob cost the amount you bought the car.

Changing the k&n for an enclosed induction kit is a must before re-mapping.

i actually have ordered a enclosed one mate induction kit now should fingers crosssed be here week on sat.
it limits at about 7200 rpm so i think it needs remapping then.
just wanna get induction on then get remap wouldi be looking at 160bhp and a lot of torque when this is completed?
if anyone could let me know thanks

does sound like a bargain. if its only revving to 7200 as you said its not been mapped as mapping will raise the limiter. as for power will be around 155 or maybe more. throttle bods fitted and mapped will be over 2 grand. if you do decide then buy a standolone management ecu instead of remmping excisting
