Can I just start with a quick "Fuck you Dave".
I was about to post a new estates thread but Dave and his harem of lardy ladies pointed out there was already one.
So, here's what I was going to post.
I currently have a hankering for something estatey. I don't really know why, but they're just sort of fapping cool. Preferably fast, but not obviously so.
Anyhow, this got me thinking about various sorts of sweet estates, so here's some of my favourites.
Volvo 240 GLT's are cool as fuck:
So are 740's, but not as much:
Obviously there's the 850 T5R:
The C5 RS6 is cool on an interplanetary scale, it's just off the chart awesome:
The E39 540i Touring is a great looking car as well:
I also really quite like the Legacy GTB Wagon:
C63 Wagon is immense:
But the E63 is moar betterer:
You'd have to be a bender to get one of these like:
Best not to say too much more about Japan, I know they built the Stagea and the Evo wagons, but they're pretty fucking ugly.
The Audi RS2 is pretty legendary:
Mind I was never really sold on the light bar running across the back of the boot plinth.
Out of the 4's, the B5 RS4 is my favourite, it's just the right amount of 'normal' so it doesn't really stand out:

When my 306 explodes it's coming to the end of it's days I think I'm going to replace it with one of these fine barges, I'm doing a lot of building work at the moment and the tip seems to be a second home.

It's got roof rails, extra win!
Do you realise if you'd turned the phone on it's side we could have seen all of it, or are you waiting for the ends to be delivered?

For the super observant, you would have noticed that the pillars at either side of the drive were obscuring the view anyway, so I didn't deem a landscape shot necessary!

Volvo V50 T5 R-Design.
Blue or red. Same engine as the focus st and rs so plenty of mods around for it, 225 as standard I think? Just get an lsd for it!

Surely being related to a focus is a reason not to get a car?

[smug mode] I has just got myself one of these in dark green. Hdi and meridian spec as well. Pulls like a train and handles well. Will be even better when I've got a xsara vts back axle on it (current one is creaking a little). [/smug mode]

£775 in the end. Had a reasonable amount of mot and a few months tax left on it.

Actually, unloaded locos get up to speed surprisingly quickly ;-), especially when you go WOT on a 3000 odd hp diesel!
My estate will be getting a remap at some point which should take it straight up to around 120. Add an intercooler and sort the pump and it's 150+. I fitted a towbar and towed a caravan chassis behind it, barely noticed the extra weight. Pug rate the estate to tow 1200kg braked!
