Subaru Impreza isn't a 'Hot Hatch'.

Wouldn't go by manufacturers book 0-60 figures. Each have different methods, like full tank, half tank, shopping no shopping, passengers etc. 60-100+ is where its at anyway!

Saxo is a great little base car, all this 'my cammed vts will keep up' talk... Cam the others in the list, then see. Treat the cars as standard. Serious question, as Ive never encountered one will a cammed VTS pull like a 182/CTR after 100+? Will camming it give it top end grunt? I wanted to do it to my GTi before I bought the 182...

Well in that case the 2.0L does 0-60 in 9.3secs, not 6.1. The 2.5L does a 0-60 of 6.3 or the 2.5L STI does 5.0.

Exactly that i was thinking through this thread!

There's no point saying 'if the VTS was turbo'd/cammed/TB'd etc etc' how well it would do against standard cars, you could say that about any!

But yeah..

The saxo does hold it's own i nthe list. Might not be so great if we were to go by safety rating..

book times are pants indeed... mine is 9.1ish... but many have been recorded high 7's to average of low to mid 8's. for get 0-60 its about rolling starts 20-60, 40-100 ha . tut tut for not adding any of the 20v turbos on the hot hatch list (ibiza cupra etc )
