took a latch out the gti door and popped it in lol

dead westcoast
started the car up to defrost it today and went for a cuppa
came out and the temp was 3/4 but thought its been sat running it will have got warm like
so hopped in and started to drive
temp dropped as i expected when i was moving with air through the rad
and then suddenly it just rocketed up
so i stopped like to see thinking wtf
burst my rad
mayo everywere
its fucked
i just drove the bastard home as it was pretty ruined allready by that point after a mile
so the mile back i just didnt care
fucking cars
grrrrr

Cracked block? You got antifreeze in it?
Pretty easy to do the headgaskets, afternoons work for you  but could be new engine time.
Sorry to hear it mate, your luck with cars is aweful, be better to stick to public transport?!and prob cheaper!!

got antifreeze in
not looked everything is covered in mayo so cba to clean it all off
its fucked though tbh burst rad burst matrix mixed everything in it and spat it all over the bay
if it is new motor ill get my jp4 for the vtR and this can get fucking left to rot

Sounds like the cooling system had a blockage, built up pressure and just exploded.
Jp4 time me thinks!! Might be worth plinking another 1.4 engine in it and selling it, the 1.4 engines are easy to come by and it'd free up money to sort the other car?

I always tell everyone that the alloy block engines love to eat head gaskets. They all tell me i'm wrong and that nobody else has problems  I know a few people who had to replace their 1.4(al) head gaskets over 5 times in a few years lol
