Car handling help
I want to lower my saxo flat arch, ive heard 40mm is the best for handling would 50mm be worse than 40mm as it will look better. i only want to buy springs as i dont wanna spend more money on dampers and ive heard standard dampers will be fine if its lowered only a little. Do i need anything else?

If you are only buying springs then I wouldnt worry about the extra 10mm effecting your handling.
40mm springs will obviously be better on the front than 50mm as they will be less likly to dismount the spring pans.
50mm on the rear is fine, as for the method, just a bar and a hammer!

You have like two caps on each end of the spring. If the spring is too short the cap wont be on the spring. Comprende?

thing is that flattys are higher as standard anyway, so to go down 50 would probably be the equivalent of a 40mm drop on a vt.
there is a thread somewhere will try dig it out for you mate.

found it, doesnt have any flatty's on there though, but it will give you a better idea i guess..
