Unhappy I wish I was a Mechanic: kae0r's Posi Blue MK2 VTR

My first car, passed 02/06/10, bought 11/06/10. I know NOTHING about cars, but I love it.

Wasn't sure if I was going to be able to keep my beautiful car this year due to rising insurance premiums and some GOLF GTI COCK smashed up the side of my car: see below. Anyway turns out I got her insured for 545 quid and fixed for 450 and she's as good as new if not better.

I wish I was a mechanic: My mentality = Research, Find Guide, Follow.

Shame someone did that to your car mate. But the plans sound good so it should all come back together.

Purchased magnex 3.5" exhaust which is on route via parcelforce as we speak and some inserts - will be fitting this weekend.

Planning to wash tonight so will take some pics of how it is atm. Got no bloody internet at home so god knows how I'm going to get them up.

Also planning to lower 50mm this month! :o

IMHO -40mm isn't worth it for the hassle you have to go through with the torsion bar. I'd have -50 or 60mm tbh.

I lowered one of mine 40mm and it pissed me off everyday seeing it. I couldn't be arsed to mess around with the torsion again. I sold it on and the lad that bought it lowered it 60mm and it sat like a beaut.
