Talking Dan's Black Saxo Furio Project

Decided to start another thread as i'm still learning how to use Sax-p. Here is my 2002 black furio purchased her for £550 with 86,000 miles around 2 months.

She had a few issues but i expected them for the price. Someone had keyed the poor girl which i was unaware of, it came with a massive jap can which i also was not aware of as it was left out of the description, Pipercross induction, TSW alloys and tinted rear windows. But i got her home safe after a 5 hour round trip back to Swindon...

Here's a picture of the massive exhaust that burnt the bumper

My plans so far are to:

Lower the front around 40-50 and the rear 50-55 on springs or coilovers
Gloss the bumper strips and have the key scratch covered
Spray the badges either lime green, black or white and de-slat and mesh the grill
Change standard single fan to 106 gti twin fan and spray lime green, leave black or spray white
Get some Vtr or Vts wheels and spray either lime green, black or white
Black angel headlights or paint the standard lights
Raceland forced induction
Kam racing straight through and possibly de-cat
Toad alarm and immobiliser
Gti leathers or something similar
Re-do roof lining, pillars, sun visors and possibly door cards
Fit a double din or single din dvd play with sat nav and wire up my ps2
Tidy the engine bay and colour code.

I want to get the majority of this done before the car shows next year so any compliments/insults/opinions on the car are welcome as they will all be listened to.

Local to me, hope to see you at some of the meets in the new year

Looks like a good base to start on, just get rid of that exhaust asap and not a fan of the wheels tbh!

Good choice on changing the wheels, the ones on it are gash. Don't spray them green though.. unless you want people to think you're a (insert naughty word here).

Update

After all the comments about removing the Jap can and the TSW's you will all be glad to know that the first lot of pictures were old. The Jap can decided to snap off from the Cat as i went over a speed bump just proves how much of a bodge it was :L Picture below is when it was still on.

Also lost the TSW's as i had a bottle slash my sidewall in Wootton Bassett High street and my dad very kindly bought me a set of Vts's from the local scrap yard.

Managed to swap the TSW's with a mate for some white Vtr's with brand new tyres a couple of weeks ago so i decided this morning to put them on as the roads are getting worse for ice.

Great choice getting rid of the cheap TSW's..

Looks so much better on the white vtr's.

Would love to see a lairy colour as everyone with a black saxo always paints their wheels white lol

Default Update finally!!!

Long time since i've updated but a lack of funds has held me back. Only changes are ive painted the rear badges and the front chevrons and meshed the grille.

On, not too bad for first attempt

I also had to MOT her in February which was costly :/ but luckily i've had bits of temporary work at Honda and other places around Swindon

Few pictures in the Snow a day before the MOT

Also went to the Help for heroes cruise down in Bristol, was my first real meet and it inspired me so much Heres our little convoy from Wootton Bassett.

Things are looking up on the work front though so hopefully my updates will become more frequent
