megs clay bar + quick detailer.
seriously think the clay bar does more harm then good, i was soaking a pannel at a time and using 1/3 of the bar really carefully over each pannel i could see some dirt and shit coming out but a couple of light scratches going in. and it did'nt remove them either...
not sure what could be going wrong here ?

It will put slight scratches on the paint work jut depends on how hard you press, you shouldnt really be pressing too hard, if the clay is making a hole your pressing too hard, just rub it over with sligh pressure until you feel it slide over the paintwork easily, make sure you use plenty of lube (probablies one of the things people dont use enough of)
once done give it a polish and wax and it should be fine, but most of the time people who use claying usually machine polish it after but they should come out with hand polishing depending on hw hard you have pressed and if thelube was adequate

My car was covered with white 'ghost' style marks after I clayed it the first time. Used the whole bottle of lube (ended up having to dilute it down), left the clay in warm water etc. etc.
The marks do polish out without too much effort.

this totally depends on the clay used. sonus green is one of the gentlest clays, this may be better for your paint.

serious performance clay is even better than sonus i've used both and dodo juice born slippy is the best clay lube, more better than last touch for sure and doesn't scratch paint or marr paint surface.
