There is a person on here called ryanmt that can unlock single plug ecu's for a small fee. However i think the 106 quicksilver is a 3plug ecu.
If you google bluehawk electronics they unlock any ecu for a fee.
If you buy an engine thats still in the car, you can unlock the ecu before you remove the engine for free.

Dont know if you'll find this interesting but its worth a read if you want to learn a bit. Shows what each box does in each gear, their ratios, how tyres and rev limits effect performance etc.
