vts engine selant
hi all since ive fitted my cams i seem to have a oil leak from the cam box and rocker covers seen as citreon doesnt do a new gasket for this jus wondering what sealant people use also is there a modifaction that i can do to the breather in back rocker cover any piks or info would be great cheers dan

the stuff we use, same spec as used for sealing R380 gearboxes up on Land Rovers and any face fit parts such as MG cam boxes etc

For a vts? You sure about that?
The black sealer from Pug/Citroen is what they use. Its about £25 though

the stuff we use above is meant to be seriously expensive but basically any anearobic sealant is ok, i've also used Wellseal in the past. And Sam's correct,you can't buy seals for S rocker covers sadly.

just a bead all the way round dont go to mad it will squish out when you tighten the covers down

more then enough. our tube of wellseal has lasted us ages and we've done countless cam ladders with it

mine came in a smaller tube but looks to be the same stuff. loads left after doing sump and 16v rockers.
sump required 2-3mm layer.
rockers required wafer thin layer just covering the old seals.
it sticks like sh1t to blanket tho so take care with it. its hard to clean up!
