It probably has something to do with me though but I'm generally suprised with everyone roses opinion though

Perhaps your car is known to the police, from something that happened before you owned it.

yeah i get stopped quite a lot. ive only had the vtr for about 4 months and been pulled 4 or 5 times and been brethalysed once and the guy even asked me to get my phone and open my messages as i was "swerving" and he thought i may have been texting... even though me and my passenger didnt think i was (may have been subconsciously avoiding potholes ha!) but anyway i never got stopped once in my vectra which i drove for a year. seems odd really that i get stopped more in a smaller less powerfull cheaper car and then they leave you alone in the big powerfull things. so id agree that saxo owners are targetted a bit.

Haven't been pulled in a year of owning my saxo. Then again theres this one who drives an unmarked skoda who likes to try and get people to gun it. I pulled out in front of him with massive room between me and him and he zooms right up my ass. Anyways you drive like a dick you attract a lot more attention from not just the police but other road users.
Another thing not too sure if this is right so someone correct me if i'm wrong but don't they have to have a reason to pull you?

they definatly DONT need a reason to stop you.. i got stopped few weeks ago and he said it was a general roadside check thing. he noticed i had a flat back tyre though and said he could give me a ticket but would rather just advise me to sort it out which i did do straight away so was tidy of him

I get followed quite alot (pretty obvious they are following me, as i take them the long way round instead of the short way just to see if they are)...once they realise I drive pretty sensibly they get bored...doesnt help having limo black tints and some stickers on the rear window, its like a police magnet!

This is harsh at times IMO, a flat tyre on the back could have been caused on your current journey and is generally harder to notice than the same happening on a front one. Some police are just out to make a nuisance of themselves exploiting their moral highground.

Been pulled twice in 2 1/2 years.
Once in my Golf, once in the Saxo.
I was pulled the first day I was on the road in my saxo.. My own fault though, I had a front number plate that was 1/2 the size it should be.. Just said ' I'll give you a week to sort it out, if I see you again then i'll bum you' They werent his exact words, but it was similar.

got followed for about ten minutes yesterday from CID
was pulling out of a junction with a van parked on the corner blocking the view, dickhead copper comes round and as im edging out we meet, i reverse back and he gives me the evils, i pull from my junction and toodle off, but seen him do a sharp u before i did....knew what was coming.
follows me EVERYWHERE through burley, which is lots of small streets so i knew it wasnt coincidence, only stopped when i pulled in at a garage, coincidentally, two minutes later, a panda with blue's & two's was at the garage, but i had already burned off haha.
it's long, but yeah sometimes i feel aggrieved driving a saxo.

I feel police do pick on certain cars in some ways, not just saxo's, other cars too that they assume to be " chavy ", and think that something might be wrong with them or the driver, me and my mates get pulled a fair bit, But if your driving properly and within the law then dont let it bother you.. i like the banter we have with police when they pull us and its all fine.

Have been driving a saxo in some form or another for 6 years now. Never been pulled in the VTS, I get more hassle from everyday drivers. Seems odd, I stick to 30 mph and I get people driving up my arse and taxi drivers flashing me. Pisses me off royally but not enough to make me sell up.

Think that would happen regardless of what car you drive though...

Only been pulled once in 3 years of driving saxo.. Because I was drink driving, and tried sneaking down a side street.
Would of been pulled / banned 2 more times, but they didn't catch me.

Never been pulled in the saxo.
Got pulled in the commodore in aus because he thought I should of had P plates displayed and was in a v8 when i shouldn't of been but i had an open licence so was al gravy.
Got pulled in my clio, funny story about that - a few members may recall but cba to explain right now.
TBF police are wankers (imo - fuck off moke before you open up nt in the mood)
What i dont see, is that some that spends a lot of money on their car is obviously not going to want to lose their licence or wreck there car and drive a lot so obviously are pretty condient on the road, yet most accidents are from imcompatent drivers .
