to be fair to you i kinda see where your coming from...
for example if theres a fire engine going down the middle lane of a motorway at 60mph, the rest of the traffic on the motorway wont slow down and sit behind it. the rest of the cars in the "fast lane" will carry on going past the fire engine at 70 odd.

yeahh it is, mainly to crashes on the motorway etc. i wouldnt overtake a fire engine or anything on a road though. maybe on a dual carriage way i see why people would overtake if the limits 70 and fire engine doing 60.
but if im in that situation i just slow down so that im slower than the emergency vehicle as it feels weird over taking a fire engine or ambulance with its lights on.

not many motorways around me, just main A roads. Dont really see alot of RTC's there, mainly rural roads see RTC's.
I personally dont mind people over taking us, its just when they think they're the dogs bollocks by doing it

Thats what lost me. You clearly said a RRV went past you then the Fezza went flying past you and the ambulance.

Each time you see an ambulance or fire engine, you know there is a high chance that someones life is in danger.
Overtaking lane or not. The blue lights have priority over every single person on the road.
