No, farmyards don't have nice gardens?

There is a farm near me though, and fields everywhere

I haven't gotten much more done to mine yet, i seeded half of the bit that is gonna be grass (between the wooden decking and veggy patch).. Used meadow grass mix which has different types of grass plus a load of different small meadow flowers in it, should look noice

The herb box bit is doing well too, everything grown from just seeds

I was growing a sunflower too, planted it outside when it got about 8 inches the other day, and checked it today and some little twat of a thing has nibbled on it, like a mouse or something, it was close to death just hanging down instead of standing upright...took it inside and gave it a hug and a drink of water so hope it'll come back, think it'll be alright one of the leaves is already coming back to normal

no where near as good, but moved plants out, then took up all gravel and laid turf

all you need as a single male, plenty of grass! no other plants, low maintenance too

Ha, i might aswell have a go of this.

Well, excuse the flesh, our garden started off with a bit of decking, about 1.5 tonne of gravel and 20 paving slabs. So, decided one sunday afternoon at the start of summar to do something with it. I got a bit carried away... dug a 4ft deep hole and filled it with all the gravel. Used the topsoil from the hole to level off the garden.

Before.

And today:

Check out the bedding box! My missus made that from an old dog kennel with some nails from poundland and a saw.

Total cost for this lot... £150, one hundred of that was turf

Good work lads

Kris i'm not sure about the paving slabs that are standing upright, what are they for? Bit of a trip hazard aswell.. Shed needs a good lick of paint too, but the rest is awesome

Jonny i liked that old raised flower bed that was there, should of kept it and freshened it up! Has the fresh turf blended in with the lawn now? I probably would of just dug it all up and spread some fresh topsoil and reseeded the whole area

Cheers Peter, problem with that flower bed was a breeding ground for ants, and was used as a toilet by passing cats lol. Its only been down a week and a half so hasn't blended yet, needs a hell of a lot of water at the moment though as it keep drying up. We used grass seed on the front part (second finish pic) but it grows patchy, turf only cost £3.90 for a square meter and is much easier, would have cost more in grass seed.

Good work with yours, like the little planting section in the centre.
