Well - the car is now fixed and roadworthy again. Just been dropped off by the garage
Been wierd relying on lifts and the loan of other peoples cars for the past week but no need anymore lol. Got a day off tommorrow so am going to try and fit my Kenwood touchscreen and refit/tweek the boot install, as its all in pieces at the minute whilst the shock was being fitted.

Done some work on the Focus today, but haven't really done much work taking a photo of lol.
Have stripped the interior out again in preperation for running the wiring for the touchscreen headunit, and have also removed the MTX front speakers as one of the tweeters has blown. Am going to replace these with a set of DB Audio T-Rex Professionals.
The tweeter builds had to be smashed to get the old ones out, so am now in the process of re-doing them to take the new ones:
Also I went and got a new box for my sub, as I think the old one was too small and the sub never seemed to produce much volume or bass. Am trying this new box which is a vented design, so should be a bit louder. Am also sticking a Bass-Cube in for good measure
It should all be fitted tommorrow, so will update again then.
Also, a random pic of the new strut that Spax sent me that was fitted yesterday:

Cheers guys.
Apparently the steering wheel thing is a common 'fault'. I got told that the wheel is treated with some kind of plastic coating which melts in the sun. Feels wierd at first, but you soon get used to it
